Abernathey Holdings announces the formation of The Abernathey Foundation to Combat Human Trafficking, to give shareholders a new way to fight human trafficking and its root causes confidently and effectively. Abernathey Foundation will partner with rigorously vetted organizations who have demonstrated the ability to fight this humanitarian crisis head-on and delivered a high rate of return for their donors.
THE NEED IS GREAT
Modern slavery and human trafficking affect an estimated 50 million people around the world, making it one of the top three criminal industries, generating $150 billion annually.
To combat a problem this large, organizations fighting trafficking are working together—to identify victims, deliver services to survivors and prosecute those who exploit them.
THE CAUSE IS JUST
While anti-trafficking organizations have made significant gains over the years, additional funding has the potential to build on their progress. That’s why Abernathey Foundation has joined forces with Unseen (WeAreUnseen.org), a leading 501c3 whose partners have directly impacted 136,673 children, women, and men whose lives are impacted or at risk in the U.S., and 40 other countries around the globe last year alone.
